TPA Reaches Milestone 3,000 Members

The Tennis Professionals Association (TPA) hit a new high in its 11-year history on Tuesday, as it reached the 3,000-member mark.

Dedicated to growing the profession of tennis coaching in Canada, the TPA has been working with and supporting the nation’s certified instructors, coaches, and club professionals since 2004. Beginning with 800 members, the organization has grown every year and now officially counts over 3,000 coaches among its ranks. The TPA’s aim is to provide its members with the tools and opportunities to further develop as coaches for all levels of Canadian tennis players.

“We are so pleased the tennis community has embraced the TPA and truly engaged with everything it has to offer,” said Ari Novick, who helped start the TPA in 2004 and is currently senior director of tennis development for Tennis Canada. “We firmly believe in our goal of serving the tennis profession and are immensely happy to see its growth. We look forward to continuing our work to provide Canadian coaches with the best resources possible.”

Among the benefits of becoming a TPA member is regular communication from the Tennis Professionals Association on all of the latest news and upcoming events; access to the latest job postings; exclusive discounts to a variety of tennis products; access to many online coaching resources, and more.

The TPA celebrated its 10th anniversary last year, and hosted its 10th annual TPA Conference this past February with special guest Judy Murray. The guest speaker for the 2016 TPA Conference will be announced in the near future.
